Small Business Spotlight: Gabrielle Befort with Star Style Solutions

Gabrielle Befort was a new mother of twins when she had the idea for Star Style Solutions. After transitioning from her career as an engineer to a full-time mom, she suddenly found herself having to make adjustments in both her budget and her wardrobe. She has always had a love for fashion and a knack for style and was now in need of a creative solution. The secondhand options in front of her offered affordability and convenience but fell short on providing the experience of a trip to a boutique that she was missing. She wanted to provide a service that delivered on all three, also knowing that the challenge she and others in her situation faced was the luxury of time. The vision for Star Style Solutions offers a mobile boutique and in-home service that provides a wide variety of unique offerings. From consultations, to closet reorganization, to a personalized shopping experience, She has built her business on the promise to help others feel special. Befort calls it, “A place where women can not only shop but rediscover their self-worth and confidence.”
Gabrielle just finished up Kinetic, a 6-week program put on by The Center for Creative Economy that helps early stage entrepreneurs workshop their ideas. “I learned so much about launching my business and how to set myself up for success. To have access to mentors that want to see you thrive is so reassuring and empowering.” When asked about her favorite aspect of being an early-stage business owner, Gabrielle shared, “I love the challenges, mistakes, and roadblocks. I find it to be a really exciting part of the learning process. There’s no better way to learn than through experience.”
