Pixlmob: Greenville Startup Takes Home Top Honors at Venture Atlanta

When Greenville-based startup Pixlmob took the stage at Venture Atlanta 2025, founder Moses Nickerson had just three minutes to make his pitch count. He did exactly that—walking away with the title of Winner for the Early Stage Pitch Competition, chosen by a panel of investors. It was a moment that validated not just the product, but the years of collaboration, experimentation, and relentless iteration that got the team there.

Pixlmob’s story starts with two founders from different sides of the creative world. Moses came from the national real estate space, where he worked as a coach and consultant. His co-founder, Matty Fisher, built a career directing national ad campaigns. During the pandemic, the two launched a production company called North 7th, combining their expertise in real estate and media. But they quickly noticed bottlenecks at the intersection of the two spaces that slowed every project down.

Rather than accept those inefficiencies, they decided to build a better system. The result was Pixlmob, a marketplace connecting photographers and editors to streamline the entire post-production process. Their timing couldn’t have been better: within the first month, the platform saw over 100 signups, and the momentum only grew from there. Between January and July of 2024, their user base doubled. By midyear, Pixlmob was generating as much revenue as North 7th—enough to capture the attention of early investors Founderville and SCRA, who backed the company with a $500,000 seed round.

That investment fueled Version 2, a major rebuild that simplified workflows and boosted retention. The results were staggering: 7x growth in 2024, and they’re already on track to hit 2.5x of that in 2025. Pixlmob’s rapid rise isn’t an accident. Their product fits their target users—photographers and editors—incredibly well. It’s collaborative by design, helping creative teams grow their businesses while staying connected to the tools and community they need.

“We’re where you go to get whatever tools you need,” Moses explains. “Because we operate as a platform, you can use the tools that make sense for your work—and stay central, no matter how the industry evolves.” That adaptability is key as AI reshapes media production. Pixlmob has leaned into this evolution, launching human-AI hybrid editing options that blend the speed of automation with the quality assurance of human review—giving editors the best of both worlds.

Today, Pixlmob’s team of seven is headquartered at Flywheel Coworking in Greenville, with six full-time employees based locally. As part of their partnership with SCRA, at least half of their team must be South Carolina-based—a commitment they fully embrace. “There’s something powerful about being on-site,” says Moses. “The energy, the problem-solving, the creativity—it all happens faster when you’re in the room together.”

When the opportunity came to pitch at Venture Atlanta, Pixlmob was kicking off a new fundraising round. The team had met investors in previous years but wasn’t yet ready to raise. This time, the timing was perfect. “We’d already built relationships,” Moses says. “That made a big difference. I’d tell any founder—start those conversations early, even before you think you’re ready.”

In a room full of investors, Moses delivered a tight three-minute pitch that captured Pixlmob’s traction, vision, and the scale of their opportunity. The result: they were selected as “Most Compelling” standing out among hundreds of startups from across the Southeast.

As part of the Flywheel Coworking community, Pixlmob continues to find support and inspiration among other founders and innovators. Moses credits Greenville’s interconnected startup ecosystem—from Flywheel to NEXT and FutureX—for giving Pixlmob the network it needed to scale. “Joining a space like Flywheel gives you more than just a desk,” he says. “You find a community of entrepreneurs who get it—who help you build, connect, and grow.”

Pixlmob is a Greenville-based platform connecting photographers and editors to streamline real estate media production. Combining human creativity with AI innovation, Pixlmob helps creatives deliver high-quality content faster—and protect their intellectual property in the process.
